Catherine Gund

Catherine Gund is an Emmy Award-nominated producer, director, writer and grassroots organizer who started the nonprofit Aubin Pictures in 1996. She is also the co-founder of the Third Wave Foundation, a feminist activist organization that supports the voices of young women, transgender and non-gender conforming youth. Her work focuses on HIV/AIDS and reproductive health, the environment and social justice issues. Her film Born to Fly follows the extreme action choreographer Elizabeth Streb as she pushes her dancers with her unique theory of movement.
