Carsten Peter

Carsten Peter is a photographer, filmmaker, biologist and adventurer who specializes in going to extremes. He has scuba dived in a glacier on Mont Blanc, crossed the Sahara on a camel and gone caving in Borneo. He won a World Press Photo award for his coverage of tornadoes in the American West and received an Emmy Award for his videography from inside an active volcano in the South Pacific. He is a regular contributor to National Geographic. He is the director of Dead Ice and Earth on Fire (both at Mountainfilm 2019).
