Bryan Smith

Bryan Smith is a producer, photographer and filmmaker whose involvement in making movies grew out of his passion for exploring wild places from the seat of a kayak. He co-founded Body Boat Blade International sea kayaking school and has notched first descents around the world. His films include 49 Megawatts, Pacific Horizons, Eastern Horizons, Moonwalk (Mountainfilm 2012) and Locked In: First Descent of the Beriman Gorge (Mountainfilm 2016). Smith's film North of Known (Mountainfilm 2017) follows professional paraglider Gavin McClurg as he soars past some of the highest peaks in North America. Smith's work and adventures have also appeared in Men’s Journal, Canoe and Kayak, Kayak Session and Outside.
