Brian Bolster

Brian Bolster grew up in suburban Boston before graduating from the film program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Bolster also holds a master’s degree in curriculum and teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. He’s worked in several public and private schools in New York City and as an educational researcher for Nickelodeon’s “Blue’s Clues.” After a nearly three decades in New York City, he relocated to Hollywood, California. Bolster’s short documentary films have screened at over 70 international film festivals — including Sundance Film Festival, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, Outfest, Slamdance Film Festival and Traverse City Film Festival — and have been distributed by The Atlantic, Aeon Video and Outside magazine, among other channels. Bolster is the director of Winter’s Watch (Mountainfilm 2017).
