Brett Morgen

Eclectic and edgy, Brett Morgen makes documentary films about socially rebellious folks and the tightrope walk they teeter on in their efforts to leave an imprint on this world. He’s created such powerful works including Chicago 10: Speak Your Peace (2007), which follows the Chicago Seven (originally eight) who were charged by the federal government with conspiracy, inciting to riot and other charges related to anti-Vietnam War and counter-cultural protests in the ‘60s. His films Crossfire Hurricane (2012) and Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015) chronicle the legendary lives of The Rolling Stones members and Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. Morgen’s most recent work Jane (Mountainfilm 2018) is a definitive biography of anthropologist, ethologist and primatologist Jane Goodall.
