After a 1980 move to Indiana, she combined raising a family with managing a horse operation on the Zionsville farm. Bettie has spent many years in mountain towns (Dillon, Vail, and Telluride) and her experience in the ski industry has directed her involvement within the communities. She and her family have been part and (almost) full-time residents of Telluride since 1984 and Bettie has sought to support organizations that fulfill a need within the community. These organizations include and have a commonality of purpose: are inspirational and promote personal growth, challenge, and a more positive living environment.
