Ben Stookesberry

Colorado native and adventure kayaker Ben Stookesberry has taken his kayak around the world in search of big water and first descents. He has logged more than 70 of them in 15 different countries and is also a photographer, filmmaker and the founder of Clear H2O Films. Stookesberry’s documentary Kadoma, which showcases the many perils of kayaking the remote Lukuga River in the Democratic Republic of Congo, premiered at Mountainfilm 2011. A 2016 expedition took him on a 46-day crossing of the Greenland Ice Cap in search of never-before-paddled rivers that end in the Arctic Ocean. This adventure is depicted in the film Into Twin Galaxies (Mountainfilm 2017).
