Barry Jenkins
Barry Jenkins is the writer-director of Moonlight, which earned Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay — among many other accolades — in 2017. His follow-up feature, based on the James Baldwin novel If Beale Street Could Talk, is currently in post-production with Annapurna Pictures, and he’s also at work on a series adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s The Underground Railroad for Amazon. Jenkins worked for the Telluride Film Festival for more than a decade, attending first as a student and ultimately hosting onstage Q&As with actors and directors.
