Andrew Hinton

Andrew Hinton

  • 2014 — Film Director

Andrew Hinton is a self-shooting documentary filmmaker from London whose past films include an array of visual narratives. Hinton’s videos, under the title of Pilgrim Films, often depict the seemingly infinite determination of humans around the globe. One such short film was Hinton’s Vimeo Documentary Award-winner Amar, which follows a young Indian paperboy on his daily routine. He co-directed the 2014 documentary Tashi and the Monk, which takes viewers on a journey to the foothills of the Himalaya where an endlessly brave monk attempts to bring light into the lives of 84 orphaned children. His work showcases people and stories that offer hopeful solutions in the face of adversity.
