Alejandra Alcala

Alejandra Alcala is a filmmaker and co-founder of HOME Storytellers, a nonprofit focused on creating character-driven documentary films that inspire people, foundations, businesses and governments to support solutions geared towards enabling refugees to become self-reliant. Alcala has showcased her talents in a number of different roles for award-winning short documentary films, working as the creative director and editor for Hot Dogs on a Tricycle (HOME Storytellers, 2019), co-director and editor of No Single Origin (HOME Storytellers, 2020) and directed the film The Neighborhood Storyteller (Mountainfilm 2022 World Premiere).
