Adrian Ballinger

Professional athlete Adrian Ballinger was the first person to ski Manaslu, the 8th tallest mountain in the world, and in 2011 became the first person to summit three 8,000-meter peaks in three weeks (Everest twice and Lhotse once). Ballinger ­­has successfully led over 100 international climbing expeditions on the over 8,000-meter summits of Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu and Cho Oyu. He is the founder and head guide of the internationally acclaimed Alpenglow Expeditions and the author of the forthcoming Why Everest Matters – Lessons Learned from the Roof of the World. His film, Breathtaking: K2 - The World's Most Dangerous Mountain (Mountainfilm 2020), follows Ballinger and Carla Perez as they aim to summit K2 without supplemental oxygen.
