Aaron Huey is an award-winning photojournalist and documentary photographer whose work has appeared in National Geographic, The New Yorker and The New York Times. In 2002, Huey walked 3,349 miles with his dog across America, recording the experience with photographs and journal entries. His extensive work documenting the poverty of the Lakota people on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, a place he calls ground zero for native issues in the U.S., was the subject of a 2010 TED Talk at the University of Denver. He is the co-director of Strike With Us (Mountainfilm 2020), a film made to drive attention to youth climate strikes around the world and demand action from politicians.
