Meet the Author — Ben Moon: Denali

For almost a decade, Ben Moon’s photos have graced the pages of Patagonia catalogues. Born in the Midwest, he made the move to Oregon, embracing the West Coast lifestyle of surfing and climbing. Life only got better when he adopted Denali, a rescue pup who would end up being much more than a dog. Denali stuck by Moon through a battle with colorectal cancer — when Moon was just 29 — and when Denali was struck by the same disease, Moon had the chance to return the favor.

In this presentation, Moon will chat with Between the Covers Bookstore owner and Telluride local Daiva Chesonis about his book Denali: A Man, a Dog, and the Friendship of a Lifetime.

Denali: A Man, a Dog, and the Friendship of a Lifetime is available at Telluride’s Between the Covers Bookstore, Mountainfilm's indie bookselling partner. While you’re there, why not order the Mountainfilm 2020 Book Bundle, a collection of the five books represented this year, and Mountainfilm's 40th Anniversary book, which is chock full of images, stories and memories made since 1979.
