Mountainfilm is Seeking a Box Office Manager


Reports to Operations Manager/ Festival Producer
FLSA Status Hourly Non-Exempt – Part-Time Seasonal
Hourly Rate $20 per hour
Start Date ASAP

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting Operations Manager in coordinating daily operations, festival pass and ticket sales and overseeing festival box office operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
FESTIVAL BOX OFFICE

  • Deep understanding of the Eventive system and processes for Mountainfilm’s box office and will provide in-depth training to the box office team

  • Coordinates festival passes including printing and delivery

  • Trains and supervises all festival box office theater staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable in operating the passes system

  • Trains and manages the customer support team during the online festival

  • Processes payments and other tasks related to running the festival box office

  • Professional customer service interactions with festival attendees, staff and volunteers

  • Phone sales, monitoring web sales and data entry in Airtable/Eventive

  • Provides weekly and daily festival pass sale reports

  • Attends weekly staff meetings March–June and provides detailed information on passes and ticket sales 

  • Creates a comprehensive report following the festival with final passes and ticket numbers

  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include

  • Related work experience 

  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented

  • Experience with data entry, Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Familiar with Apple computers, Microsoft Office and other software applications

  • Willing to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Software

  • Experience with task management on projects, ensuring deadlines are met

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to take a project from conception through completion

  • Detail-oriented with regard to numeracy, data entry and tracking

  • Strong commitment to high ethical standards, customer service and quality services

  • Ability to handle challenging customers with a high level of positivity and professionalism

  • Substantive knowledge and appreciation of topics pertaining to Mountainfilm’s themes and mission

  • Ability to function under pressure and unexpected stressors, anticipate, identify and solve problems, and prioritize competing demands

  • Must be able to work well with a variety of year-round and temporary staff. A calm and collaborative personality is important


Working conditions
Dedicated workstation in an open office environment where festival and tour staff can grow from two to sixteen people during busy times.  Mountainfilm will make reasonable accommodations if requested as per the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) which administers the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Physical requirements
Must be able to lift 50lbs. Sitting and or standing for extended periods may be required.
