Volunteers Needed

Volunteer for Mountainfilm 2015

A very special thanks to all of those who volunteered for Mountainfilm 2014. We hope to see you next year! We'll begin taking applications in January 2015.

How does Mountainfilm transform the tiny alpine hamlet of Telluride, Colorado, into a world-class documentary film extravaganza? Volunteers! For each festival, we rely on the true grit and devotion of 200 plus volunteers from around the planet. Who can volunteer? Anyone who is 18 years of age or older and willing to smile endlessly, get their hands dirty, problem solve, work hard and commit to a four-day weekend of rubbing shoulders with filmmakers, environmentalists, activists, writers, artists and concerned citizens of the world.

In exchange for approximately 16 hours of work volunteers receive a Sunshine Pass. For working an additional six hours, volunteers can upgrade to the all-access Wilson Pass.

  • You must be available to work during the festival weekend, May 22-25, 2015.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.
  • You must provide a credit/debit card number in the amount of: $320 (Sunshine) or $370 (Wilson) as a deposit. (Submitting a volunteer application will not result in credit cards being charged. We will keep the deposit only if you fail to complete your assignment. Please read our deposit policy and cancellation policy below for more information.)
  • We do not provide accommodations for volunteers.
