VT Recovery

Raising Important Funds for Vermont Recovery:

So many of us were heartbroken over the severe flooding and devastation in Vermont from Hurricane Irene.  Nobody summed up our feelings better than Vermont native Jim Cantore in this clip:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VekLMQByQu4

We recognize the close ties that so many Fairfield County residents and businesses have throughout Vermont and we want to do our part to help with the relief efforts.  All proceeds from this event with go to two state-wide relief funds:

The VT Irene Flood Relief Fund

An expansion of the “Montpelier Alive” program begun after the May 2011 floods, the Vermont Irene Flood Relief Fund directly assists damaged small businesses all across the state.  the fund is committed to distributing 100% of donations to Vermont businesses in need.  http://www.vtirenefund.org/

The Vermont Foodbank

Through a network of 280 food shelves, meals sites, senior centers, shelters, after-school programs, the Vermont Foodbank runs programs that help feed as many as 86,000 Vermonters who need food assistance.
