Isaac Brown is a filmmaker, photographer, writer, musician and graphic artist. As a graduate student at the University of Florida’s Documentary Institute, he and fellow student Eric Flagg made Gimme Green, a wry look at America’s obsession with lawns — especially green ones — and the deleterious ecological effects of maintaining our nation’s largest irrigated crop. The film screened at Mountainfilm in 2007. Brown and Flagg were awarded a Mountainfilm Commitment Grant in 2010 for a new project, Terra Blight (Mountainfilm 2012), that explores America’s ravenous consumption of computers and the hazardous waste that results.
