Alex Honnold

As one of the most exciting young climbers in the world today, Alex Honnold’s free solo first ascents make hardened veteran climbers pay attention. Featured in the Sender film Alone on the Wall, which won the Charlie Fowler Award at Mountainfilm 2010, Honnold has set a new bar for climbers by free soloing massive routes, such as Zion National Park's Moonlight Buttress and some of the big walls in Yosemite National Park. Honnold recently became one of the world's most famous climbers when “60 Minutes” profiled him. The show was one of the most-watched episodes in the program’s history.
