Mark Sedon

Mark is a skier and a well-respected professional New Zealand guide. He is a humble character with a calm nature and a passion for powder. Sedon is an internationally qualified IFMGA climbing and ski guide with over two decades of experience on all continents from the high Himalaya to the most remote corners of Antarctica. Sedon is also an author, photographer, filmmaker and guest speaker. In 2022 he published a popular book called What Could Possibly Go Wrong? His adventures form the basis of his creative life, documenting expeditions and storytelling in various forms. He is the founder and director of the NZ Mountain Film and Book Festival, New Zealand’s premier adventure film festival, celebrating adventure sports and lifestyles. Sedon captured a stunning expedition to the Antarctic for the film Spectre Expedition – To The End of the Earth. The project included an epic 55-day, 2,000-kilometer kite ski and climb of Spectre Mountain in the Gothic Range of the Transantarctic Mountains.
