Jamie Jones

Jones’ first feature film Obey explores the social conditions that led to the London Riots of 2011. It was selected for the international narrative competition at Tribeca Film Festival 2018 and won best cinematography. It was selected for many more international film festivals and picked up numerous awards along the way, eventually earning Jones a BAFTA for breakthrough director on Cymru (2019). Jones has made many documentaries and short films, most notably an award-winning short The Nest, starring Vicky McClure, which was selected for Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2017, Tampere film festival 2017 and many other international film festivals. His latest feature documentary The Road of Excess (Mountainfilm 2023) is a portrait of the rise and fall of fame and the mental health problems that come with it.
