Cynthia Wade
Cynthia Wade is an Oscar-winning director. Her films include Grit (Mountainfilm 2019, Emmy Nominee, PBS), Mondays at Racine (Oscar nominee, HBO), Freeheld (Oscar and Sundance winner, HBO), Born Sweet (Sundance winner), Shelter Dogs (HBO), Grist for the Mill (Cinemax), Growing Hope Against Hunger (Emmy Winner, PBS), among others. She has won over 60 film festival awards. Her four part-series “MerPeople,” about people who work as performing mermaids, debuts on Netflix in Summer 2023. Cynthia wade is a co-director of The Flagmakers (Mountainfilm 2023).
