Mountainfilm in Telluride is dedicated to educating and inspiring audiences, but there is another motivation underlying our mission: We want to help promote action toward positive change. One way to do that is to facilitate involvement between our audiences and the causes that are espoused by our filmmakers and presenters. Our Next Step program provides a platform for that interaction. Representatives from a diverse array of organizations, who are connected to the humanitarian, environmental, social and cultural issues explored in our programming, offer insight into their respective missions and a chance for our attendees to engage directly in helping to make a difference.
In addition to catching up immediately after specific programs, both inside and outside theaters, you can take the “next step” toward engaging with causes that move you by meeting with non-profit and mission-based organizations on main street during our Ice Cream Social, at Hotel Madeline (Ballroom) during the Reading Frenzy and in Telluride Town Park during the Closing Picnic. We strongly encourage you to take that step and spend some time with frontline soldiers of the good fight.
