New Year, New Look

With the launch of a new year, we’re launching a new website. The old website was great, but with larger monitors, more devices, and new ways of navigating the cyber world, it was time to upgrade. The philosophy behind the redesign is simple: People should be able to find everything with just one or two clicks. Of course we also want it to look good and for the content to be robust, so the challenge for our development firm, VentureWeb, was significant. Fortunately, indomitable spirit comes in many forms—even web development teams.

The new site still features the festival and Mountainfilm on Tour prominently, and it also highlights other aspects of Mountainfilm that might not be familiar to everyone.

We follow the guests featured at the festival long after their Mountainfilm appearance and interact with our audiences in the real and virtual worlds. The new News & Views section features news on Mountainfilm issues, personalities and events and also includes opportunities for views into our past, present and future with videos, photo galleries, festival archives and more.

Mountainfilm endeavors to support, educate and motivate through various initiatives, and our education programs are building momentum. With the launch of the new website, we're eager to feature Mountainfilm for Students, which enlightens and inspires the lives of thousands of students locally, regionally, nationally and globally.

The tour season is picking up steam for the winter and early spring, and the festival pages will soon fill with guests, events, films and, eventually, the full festival program and schedule. Stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, we hope you’ll explore www.mountainfilm.org and use it to purchase a Mountainfilm pass.
