Sir Edmund Hillary Hospitalized in New Zealand

April 24, 2007Sir Edmund Hillary, first documented man to reach the top of Mount Everest, and Mountainfilm’s Guest of Honor in 1991, has been hospitalized at a New Zealand hospital after a fall. Not much information has been released by the family about the 87-year olds tumble but here’s an article by USA Today that nicely covers the legend’s contributions to both mountaineering history and to the places and people where his historic resume began.
