Lynn Hill

Lynn Hill has been a top climber for several decades. After discovering the sport at 14, she entered — and won — climbing competitions around the world. Her accomplishments — most notably being the first to free climb The Nose on Yosemite's El Cap in 1993 — are considered among the most important in climbing history and have led to her reputation as one of the world’s best female athletes. Her book, Climbing Free, details her achievements and her pioneering journey into rock climbing, a sport mostly dominated by men. She lives in Boulder, Colorado, with her son and continues to be a force in climbing.
