Ellen Shelton
EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Ellen brings years of teaching experience and an enthusiasm for film to Mountainfilm's educational outreach. She and her husband, journalist Peter Shelton, volunteered at the first Mountainfilm in 1979 and decided to stay in Telluride because of its film festivals (and the skiing). Making Movies That Matter, the pilot program Ellen started in 2008 with teachers in local schools, has since reached hundreds of middle- and high-school students around the country.
