Dave Ohlson

During the summer of 2009, Dave Ohlson traveled to Pakistan on an expedition that coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Duke of Abruzzi’s historic 1909 expedition to K2. Ohlson’s film retraces the Abruzzi route by following world-class alpinists Fabrizio Zangrilli and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner and veteran climbers Jake Meyer and Chris Szymiec into the world of high-altitude mountaineering. Ohlson is a photographer and filmmaker, and these pursuits have taken him to Africa, Tibet, Nepal and Pakistan. When he's not in the outdoors or in the editing room, he’s pursuing a degree in medicine.
