Dan Koeppel

Dan Koeppel is a writer, cyclist and pedestrian activist. His work appears regularly in National Geographic, Wired, Popular Mechanics, Bicycling and Backpacker magazines. He is the author, more recently, of Banana: The Fate of the Fruit that Changed the World. Koeppel is also the founder and organizer of The Big Parade, a free, two-day public walk in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, writer Kalee Thompson, and their two sons.
