Deborah Koons Garcia was last at Mountainfilm in 2004 with her documentary Future of Food, which examined genetically engineered food. She returns to the festival with a timely and thoughtful short doc that examines soil through the eyes of two organic farmers. Sweet and kind, the film also features music by her late husband, Jerry Garcia. —DH
