A little more than 10 years ago, Telluride lost a great talent in TR Youngstrom. Many of us also lost a friend when the helicopter he was working in crashed in Portillo, Chile. We take small comfort knowing that he died doing what he loved and what he was so incredibly good at—taking photographs in the mountains. We are pleased to showcase some of his tremendous work with this exhibit. But damn, we miss him. TR’s friend Rob Story will share some classic TR stories in his talk “Outdoor Photographers I Have Known” (Saturday, 3:00 p.m. at the Sheridan Opera House).
