Scrapple
Chris Hanson 1996 Telluride, USA
91 min

Screening Sponsored by Beverly Crilly and Lou Mintz
This film is a unique hybrid of genres: drug-deal-gone-bad meets cute-pig-in-a-small-town. Or, in other words, Scarface meets Babe. Made in and around Telluride by Chris and Jeff Hanson and George Plamondon, Scrapple celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. This seems reason enough to show it Sunday night at the Sheridan Opera House (accompanied by beer) and throw a big outdoor party at Chair 8 afterward—with a pig roast and more beer! If you haven’t seen the film, it’s charming and fun. If you have seen it, ask yourself if you saw it on a big screen with a beer in hand. Come enjoy a fine New Belgium malted beverage and the killer soundtrack by Taj Mahal. A Mountainfilm pass or Scrapple ticket is needed to attend the pig roast.
