Awarded to environmental heroes from each of the world’s six inhabited continents, the Goldman Environmental Prize is arguably the world’s most important environmental award. Filmmakers profile each of the winners. Global Focus: Mexico is a short piece about Jesús León Santos, leader of a land renewal program in Oaxaca, Mexico, which is known as one of the most highly eroded and environmentally degraded areas of the world. Using indigenous crops and traditional conservation practices, Jesús León effects a radical transformation of spent soil into rich arable land. We are happy to support the Goldman Prize at Moutainfilm. If you want to see more Global Focus films, go to www.goldmanprize.org.
