Dalai Lama—Peace and Prosperity
Sian Edwards and Richard Wirth 2007 USA
102 min

The Dalai Lama—Peace and Prosperity is essentially 100 minutes of wisdom from His Holiness. There’s no fancy narrative or history with this simple film, just a live talk at Radio City Music Hall by the Dalai Lama: “The younger generation—the real generation of the twenty-first century—you will be seeing a better world. Happier, more equal, more peaceful, more friendly. Of course, much of it depends on our own shoulders. Basically, I am rather skeptical of the power of prayer. Prayer, prayer—I don’t think it has much effect. Effect is in our own hands. Work hard—with self-confidence, with vision.” Pico Iyer, author of The Open Road: The Global Journey of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama will be around for Q & A after the film.
