About the only misadventure missing from Blast is some sort of abominable snowman who slowly and savagely attacks the cast of this film. Luckily, this isn't science fiction, but rather a documentary directed by Paul Devlin (who previously brought Power Trip to MF). Devlin’s brother, Mark, is an actual rocket scientist, leading an international team that is desperately trying to launch a telescope in a high-altitude balloon. I know—you think that sounds easy, but the film shows how preposterously hard it really is. And there’s a lot at stake, because if their efforts—which take them from the Arctic to the Antarctic—succeed, we will be that much closer to discovering the origins of our universe.
