Extreme skiers from around the world should have one thing in common: respect. Respect for different cultures, different lifestyles and different mountain environments. Their proving ground is unpredictable: It can change in an instant from a peaceful pristine snowfield to a roaring death trap. Pushing the envelope, while staying safe, is a delicate balancing act at best and one that has to be based, above all else, on respect.
