Sur le fil des 4000
(Walking the Line at 4000)
Gilles Chappaz
In March 2004, well-known purist climbers Patrick Berhault and Philippe Magnin set out for a grand traverse of the Alps with the goal of consecutively climbing all 82 summits higher than 4,000 meters. Along the way, they encounter challenging weather, high-altitude treks between peaks and emotional change. On April 28, after almost two months of climbing and hiking, the partners were making their way along a ridge to the 67th summit when destiny stepped in. Exquisitely filmed, Walking the Line at 4000 is the story about two climbers on a quest and a friendship that counted the most.
