Exploring Isolation: Kathy Sullivan, Bertrand Piccard & Børge Ousland
Three legendary explorers will speak to a topic that’s been top of mind the past year: isolation. We’ll hear from Kathy Sullivan, the first American woman to walk in space, Bertrand Piccard, the first man to circumnavigate the globe (both by balloon and solar-powered aircraft) and Børge Ousland, the first person to cross the Antarctic continent alone. In a chat moderated by The Explorers Club President Richard Wiese, these three adventurers will share what it’s like spending extended periods of time alone in situations of immense pressure and high stakes.
